Nostalgia

Please tell us a little about yourself:

My closest friends are all coffee enthusiasts and champions, and I was influenced by their passion in coffee—that is why I started my career as a Barista/Brewer. I currently work in Nostalgia Dubai, which has helped me pursue my passion in coffee. Coffee has been a way to help me express myself, and I am enjoying every cup that I have and will make on this journey.

What are you excited to do in Boston?:

I am very excited to meet coffee professionals from around the world, and experience the local culture.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

2018 UAE National Brewers Cup – Champion

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

The coffee industry is constantly evolving and it is now on the rise. Wherever it may lead us, may it bring joy and happiness to everyone.

Where do you see yourself in five years?:

Managing my own coffee shop.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

Watching movies and travelling.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBrC?:

My sincerest gratitude to Miss Maitha, owner of Nostalgia and my sponsor who has supported me the entire way. Thank you to Grandmother Roastery, and my Nostalgia family for their moral support, and my team Lyndon, Mickay, Mark, Emman, and Cris John for sharing their knowledge, and for being with me on this fantastic journey. I would not be where I am now without all their help. To my family in the Philippines, thank you!
