Stu started in coffee in 1998 in New Zealand, working in sales/barista training and has since worked in green coffee sourcing and quality, both in the UK and New Zealand. He currently he heads up BrewGroup’s, international coffee sourcing programme and is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Stu has been involved with both the NZSCA and SCAE UK over the years.
Stu has been involved with WCE since 2006 and has been a sensory and head judge for both the World Barista championships and the World Brewers Cup, he has been a certified Q grader since 2010
Coffee and competitions have taken Stu to many different countries where he has had the privilege to connect with so many great coffee people. The people, community and constant learning is what Stu loves most about our industry.
