da Matteo Coffee Roastery
Please tell us a little about yourself:
I run da Matteo in Gothenburg: coffee shops + roastery + bakery. I spend a lot of my time roasting, cupping, and buying green coffee as well as running the company as a whole.
How did you get started in coffee?:
I started with coffee in 2012 when I came in as CEO of da Matteo, after having 23 years experience in the restaurant industry as a chef and working with wine and spirits for many years.

Swedish Cuptasters Championship 2015 – 2nd place
Swedish Cuptasters Championship 2016 – 5th place
Swedish Cuptasters Championship 2017 – 3rd place
Swedish Cuptasters Championship 2018 – 1st place
Nordic Roaster 2018 – 6th place
Swedish Cuptasters Championship 2019 – 3rd place
What are you excited to do in Berlin?:
Getting inspired by the food culture.
What is your favourite coffee to cup?:
Washed centrals and colombians. Clean coffees that you want to drink everyday.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
Good food and drinks, getting adrenaline kicks from various sports and the outdoors, exercising, spending time with my family, traveling.
Where do you see yourself in five years?:
Running an even better roastery and more great coffee shops.
