Please tell us a little about yourself:

I was born in Tokyo. I learned about the barista occupation in 2002. Since then, it’s been a wonderful life as a barista.

How did you get started in coffee?:

I wanted to become a barista, after becoming interested in Italian coffee bars.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

Japan Barista Championship 2009, semi-finalist.

What are you excited to do while you are in Brazil?:

Meet other baristas!

What was your first amazing experience with coffee?:

It was the first time I tasted fresh fruit in coffee, which was very enjoyable.

Besides your own competition drink, do you have a favorite cocktail?:

Grasshopper.

What coffee-producing country most interests or excites you?:

Costa Rica.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

Fashion, Sweets, Foods.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

I’d like to spread the word about coffee cocktails, and open my own shop.
