Hi, I’m Matthew Lewin, current 2019 Australian Barista Champion. I’ve been competing for 6 years in a row, and I’ve been a national finalist since 2014. I’m work in coffee training, R&D, roasting, green bean buying, and quality control. I with work Ona Coffee in Canberra, Australia.
What are you excited to do in Boston?:
See the sites & soak up the city, after a week of competing at WBC.

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:
Ever evolving, that’s for sure. I can see the focus coming back to customer experience & fully controlling the outcome.
Where do you see yourself in five years?:
Good question; drinking more coffee.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
Cooking, wine, food, eating out, running, reading, podcasts, movies, dogs, holidays, travelling, UFC.
