Please tell us a little about yourself:

I love film, slightly in love with cheese and I’m occasionally introverted. I am impassioned by friendship and passionate about coffee!

What are you excited to do in Boston?:

To compete alongside the world’s best and build beautiful friendships! Also, I’ve got this thing about eating pancakes in a Diner, so that’s definitely happening…

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

South African National Barista Championships 2017 – 2nd Place
South African National Barista Championships 2018 – 3rd Place

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

I think processing will be the future of coffee—alternative ideas in agriculture and its influence on our palates.

Where do you see yourself in five years?:

Drinking delicious coffee, and hopefully inspiring the next generation of coffee professionals.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

I’m passionate about film and watching movies… my mother was a film critic and journalist when I was young. I’ve got my own mini-review page where I do write ups for fun!

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

My mentors, Martin Ten Krooden, Ishan Natalie and Matthew Carter.
My coach, roaster, and good friend, John Evans, you legend!
Our Directors at TriBeCa Coffee Co., Martin Fitzgerald, Dale Mazon, and Ernest Penzhorn, for letting us follow our passions!
Love you all!
