Please tell us a little about yourself:
Hi! I am Hao-Yuan Chen. I have 5 years’ experience as a barista. I have a passion for latte art. I like to create new latte art patterns with my imagination. Some of my ideas are inspired by experience in my life. I wish to bring happiness and surprise to everyone with my latte art.
How did you get started in coffee?:
I had an internship at a coffee shop when I was a college student.

What are you excited to do in Berlin?:
I am excited to drink beer and have some delicious food in Berlin.
What is the most unusual vessel you have poured latte art into?:
An ice shovel.
What is the secret to great latte art?:
Practice, practice, and practice.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
I am interested in traveling abroad and sports.
Where do you see yourself in five years?:
Starting my own coffee business.

I would like to thank to my family and my girlfriend for their support. I also want to thank to my coach, Frank and so many friends for helping me to improve my skill in patterns and latte art. Thanks to San-Pin Coffee and Food Company, who provided a coffee machine for my practice.
