Vladimir Nenashev of Russia is the latest World Coffee Champion, after four fantastic days of competing in the 2018 World Coffee Roasting Championship (WCRC), hosted at Sigep Rimini, Italy. After progressing through green bean evaluation, sample roasting, production roasting, and blending, Vladimir triumphed over 22 other competitors from around the globe. In 2nd and 3rd place respectively, were Yoshiyuki Nakamura of Japan, and Veda Viraswami representing France.

Due to event rescheduling, the competition in Rimini awarded the 2018 competition-season championship. Rankings for the 2018 WCRC are now available online. You can also re-live parts of the event on the WCRC Facebook page, with snippets of roasting, competitor interviews, and the awards ceremony available to stream.

Congratulations again, and a huge thank you to the judges, volunteers, and sponsors who make this event possible!
