The World Coffee Roasting Championship (WCRC) is heading to Warsaw in 2020, taking place at the 2020 World of Coffee Warsaw tradeshow, June 18th-20th. The WCRC will be taking place alongside the World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, World Cup Tasters Championship, and Cezve/Ibrik Championship, making for quite the action packed weekend!
World of Coffee is one of the fastest-growing tradeshows in Europe, bringing together coffee professionals from across the globe with booths, classes, and competitions. World of Coffee is produced by the Specialty Coffee Association. The Specialty Coffee Association also produces the Specialty Coffee Expo, taking place April 23-26 in Portland, Oregon.
The World Coffee Roasting Championship is a technically grueling competition where roasters must complete multiple sample and production roast batches over the course of multiple days. This competition is one of the fastest growing championships, and it’s an exciting one to make happen, with 4-5 gas-fired production roasters operating on site. You’ll be able to watch the roasters work live onsite by buying a ticket to World of Coffee Warsaw, with registration opening this week.
