The World Brewers Cup, brought to you by Hario, highlights the craft of hand-brewed filter coffee, promoting excellence in manual brewing and customer service. Competitors prepare three beverages for a panel of judges over two rounds.
The first round consists of two coffee services – compulsory and open service. Competitors prepare three beverages with a mandated coffee as part of the compulsory service. Open service allows competitors to prepare both a coffee of their choice, and a presentation, in advance for judges’ evaluation. Six competitors from this round will advance to the finals, where they will compete in an open service. Only one competitor gets the title of World Brewers Cup Champion!
This year’s competition sees over 30 national champions arriving to brew up a storm in Dublin! 2015’s reigning World Brewers Cup champion, Odd-Steinar Tøllefsen, returns to defend his title in Dublin which is sure to raise national champions’ tensions to boiling point!
