Please tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Sumin Kim, and I am the 2018 Korea Brewers Cup Champion. I am hoping to do well on the world stage.
How did you get started in coffee?:
After watching the WCCK in Korea in 2016, I decided to move into coffee because I liked it.
Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:
2018 KCC KBRC – 1st Place
What are you excited to do while you are in Brazil?:
Right now, I’m just concentrating on the competition. I’ll think about everything else after the competition.
What was your first amazing experience with coffee?:
I met the team who came in second place at the 2013 World Brewers Cup. Preparing with them was the most amazing experience.
What is your favorite coffee brewing method and why?:
My favorite tool is Aeropress, because it improves overall flavour and sweetness.
What coffee-producing country most interests or excites you?:
El-Salvador
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
l like travelling.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
I want to join a team now and train for competition in future.

I would like to thank my coach Park Ji-yoon, Chung In-sung and Choi Hyun-seok, Yang Hyun-sung , and my teacher Kim kyo-young.
