Please tell us a little about yourself:
Dad of 2 kids, living in New Zealand, with experience in green sourcing and quality across the globe.
How did you get started in coffee?:
At the little pizza cafe I worked at as a kid, I wouldn’t let anyone else use the machine. The whole process fascinated me. It’s been coffee ever since.
What are you excited to do while you are in Brazil?:
Just absorb the atmosphere and share knowledge with fellow coffee people
What is your favorite coffee to cup?:
To continue to learn and develop my sensory experience, I love to cup different coffee from different origins. Also different qualities open up your sensory memory. El Salvador and Colombian coffees are close to my heart.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
Time with kids, fishing, surfing, anything at the beach. New Zealand is good for that.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the competition?:
My daughter Pax, she had fun slurping and picking the odd one out with Dad.
