Please tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Maryam Abdullayeva, I’ve been working with coffee for 3 years. I started working in a small coffee shop and at that time I could not imagine how extensive and interesting the world of coffee is. The deeper I studied, I realised that I didn’t know enough about it. Today I am the Barista Champion of Azerbaijan and will represent my country on the world stage. This brings me great pride.
Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:
2018 Azerbaijan Barista Championship – 1st place
2019 National Azerbaijan Barista championship – 1st Place
Where do you see yourself in five years?:
It’s hard to answer this question, but the coffee industry only leads to the best, we’ll see in 5 years.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
My hobby is drawing, I love to draw a variety of portraits and paintings, when I paint, I am exposed and ready again for new challenges.
